For more than 20 years, the people of Northern Uganda were ravaged by a bloody and inhumane civil war. With a cease-fire recently established, they are now in desperate need of assistance to feed their families, buy medication, provide an education for their children, care for orphaned youth and rebuild their communities for a more hopeful future. We of African Promise Foundation have made a promise to the people of Uganda to bring attention to their suffering and help them find solutions to their weighty challenges. Our African Promise Beads initiative empowers Ugandan women to become heroes in their communities, providing for their families and supporting orphaned children’s education and nutrition through their skill and productivity.
